Mistral’s Linda to take on the Great Wall of China for charity

Linda in training for the trek

Linda (pictured above) works for our Mistral store in Shaftesbury – Linda had been looking for a challenge for herself when she saw Julia’s House advertising on Facebook for people to help them raise much needed funds for the ongoing care they provide in her local area of Dorset and Wiltshire.

The trek in October will involve five long days on her feet to altitudes of over 800m, with seriously steep inclines and thousands of steps to conquer, it’s going to be tough but all of us at Mistral are behind her.

Julia’s House provide care and support to life-limited children and their families. The children and families Julia’s House care for face challenges every single day. Any sponsorship money Linda can raise will be helping to throw these families a lifeline and give them the well-earned break they so desperately need. The charity only receives 5% funding from the Government and relies on the support of people raising money.

Linda commented “I am very keen to support those who need this service so this was the perfect opportunity for me to help them by raising funds and at the same time challenge myself. It seemed a win-win situation. I have fully funded the trip myself, so all money I do raise will go straight to the charity.”

Everyone at Mistral would be really grateful if you would support Linda with this great cause, a cause that’s so close to our hearts, any donations would be really gratefully received Donations can be made here

JustGiving sends your donation straight to Julia’s House so that they can put your good generosity to good use. Thanks for taking the time to read this and please feel free to share.
