3 Yoga Moves for Stress Relief

If you’re feeling stressed, your body becomes tense. Yoga will help to focus on relaxing the mind and help to ease and speed up the relaxation process. We've got the top 3 moves to guide you to inner peace.


Sukhasana

Known as the easy pose, Sukhasana not only helps to relieve stress but aids with back flexibility. It is a serene and calming pose that can be used with meditation or breathing exercises. Sit cross-legged on a yoga mat with your hands on your knees, palms up. Your spine should be as straight possible. Push your sitting-bones into the floor. Take deep breathes in & out.

 

 

 


Balasana

One of the most healing postures in yoga, Child's pose awakens the connection between breath and body. It brings about a grounding energy that can calm a busy mind.

Start in a tabletop shape, on your hands and knees. Release the tops of your feet to the floor and bring your knees wider than your hips. Slowly lower your hips towards your heels. Walk your hands forward and rest your head on the floor. Take several slow breaths. Gently release back to tabletop.

 


 SUPTA MATSYENDRASANA

Lie on your back and hug in your right knee into your chest and inhale. With your next exhale guide the bent knee over to the left-hand side. Close your eyes, concentrate on your breath. Take between 5-10 cycles of breath, then take the opposite side.
